Population: In recent decades, the number of Himalayan snowcock in Kazakhstan has fluctuated and depends on many factors, including climatic conditions and anthropogenic influences. In Aksu-Jabagly, a decrease in density was observed from 8.5 individuals in the 1970s to 3.9 in the 2000s.
Status.  
A species that is not used for economic purposes, but has ecological, cultural and other value.
Distribution.  
He lives sedentary in the highlands of Southeastern and Eastern Kazakhstan. It inhabits the upper belt of Alpine slopes and subalpine meadows with rock outcrops, cliffs throughout the highlands of the Tien Shan to the outskirts of the Southern Altai; at altitudes of 900-1500 m in the Zhetysu Alatau and 2500-3300 m in the Ileysky Alatau. He does not make migrations.
