Number: The world population of the bearded man is estimated at 1675-6700 mature individuals, with a marked tendency to decrease. There are about a dozen breeding pairs in Kazakhstan.
Status.
A rare and endangered species. Category III. A rare species, the number is low, but stable.
Distribution.
Mountain ranges of southeastern Kazakhstan from Talas Alatau in the south to Zhetysu Alatau and Saur in the north. In addition, it is found in the ridges of the Southern Altai and on the right bank of the Bukhtarma, on the border with the Central Altai.
