Population: There are no exact data on the number in Kazakhstan. The global population of the silver gull is estimated at 531-608 thousand pairs.
Status.  
A species that is not used for economic purposes, but has ecological, cultural and other value.
Distribution.  
Silver gulls nest in Iceland, Great Britain, France, in the north of Europe to Russia and Siberia. They winter mainly in the coastal areas of northwestern Europe. There are cases of sightings of stray silver gulls on the eastern coast of the Caspian Sea in Kazakhstan.
