Distribution. The area covers the Sayans, Altai, Pamirs, Tien Shan, Hindu Kush, Karakoram, Himalayas. In Kazakhstan, the mountain goat is common in the Tien Shan mountains (Ugamsky, Karatau, Talassky, Kirghiz, Ileysky, Kungei Alatau, Ketmen, Terskei Alatau), as well as Zhetysu Alatau, Saur, Altai ranges.
