Number: Normal type. The number of keckliks in Kazakhstan has not been precisely established, but it is known that in some areas it is decreasing due to hunting and other factors. Taking into account data from China, where the number ranges from 10 to 100 thousand breeding pairs, it can be assumed that in Kazakhstan the number of keckliks may range from 5 to 50 thousand adults, given the smaller range.
Status.  
A species that is not used for economic purposes, but has ecological, cultural and other value.
Distribution.  
The chukar lives in various mountainous and foothill regions of Central Asia, including Kazakhstan. In the country, it is found in places such as Mangyshlak, Ustyurt, Kyzylkum, as well as in the mountains of Tien Shan and Zhetysu Alatau.
