Number: Numerous species. There are no exact data on the number of lapwings in Kazakhstan. The world population of lapwing is estimated at about 5.6–10.5 million. individuals. The European population is about 1.5–2.5 million pairs.
Status.  
A species that is the object of hunting.
Distribution.  
It breeds and occurs on the fly in the wetlands of most of the territory of lowland Kazakhstan, north to the Kamysh-Samara lakes, Naurzum, Lake Selety-Teniz and Pavlodar Zairtysh. In recent decades, he began to nest on Lake Markakol. On the fly, it is also found in waterless areas.
